[Indications and Clinical use]: For treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by cytotoxicity medicinal chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
[Strength]: 100ml: 8mg Ondansetron Hydrochloride and 0.9g Sodium Chloride
50ml: 8mg Ondansetron Hydrochloride and 0.45g Sodium Chloride
The active ingredient in Ondansetron Injection is ondansetron hydrochloride (HCl), the racemic form of ondansetron and a selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor type.
Ondansetron Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride Injection is indicated for the prevention of postoperative nausea and/or vomiting. As with other antiemetics, routine prophylaxis is not recommended for patients in whom there is little expectation that nausea and/or vomiting will occur postoperatively.
