A polyether antibiotic of the ionophore group. It exerts an anticoccidial action against Eimeria tenella, E. Acervulina, E. Mivati, E. Brunetti, E. Maxima, E. Necatrix in chickens, affecting the trophozoites in the first stage of schizogony. When applied at the recommended dosage levels in fowls, monensin is practically not
Not absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract and is not deposited in muscles and internal organs. The therapeutic range of the antibiotic is narrow, therefore it must be applied at the accurate dosage levels and for the appropriate use.
Precautions:
- Do not use in dogs, horses or other equines.
- Do not use together with Tiamulin, Oleandomycin to avoid poisoning
- Do not feed to replacement or laying chickens.
- Avoid skin and eye contact.

Storage Situation: Stored in a cool and dry well-closed container. Keep away from moisture and strong light/heat.
Shelf Life: Two years when properly stored.
