Xylanase
Xylanase is a kind of enzyme preparation based on such technical processes as the fermentation of trichoderma reesei, ultrafiltration and spray drying. The main activity of xylanase is endo-xylanase, which can cut off the soluble and non-soluble fibrous structure in araboxylan, and which also contains the activity of β -glucanase, cellulose and glucoamylase. While digesting botanic raw material, these enzymes are very effective.
Xylanase is applied in cereal feeds which contain a rich amount of pentosan, such as wheat, corn and soybean meal. It is an important feed enzyme.

Definition of unit
One unit of Xylanase is defined as the enzyme needed to release 1umol reducing sugar from 5mg/mL xylan solution in 1 minute at pH4.8 in 50° C.

Working at pH 3.5-6.5, optimum 4.5-5.5;
Working temperature 35-70° C, favorable 35-50° C.
Function
(1) Degrade xylan, reduce the viscosity of chyme in the intestinal tract.
(2) Break down the structure of the cell wall and eliminate the anti-nutritional factors, thus improving the digestion efficiency of nutrient substance.
(3) Improve the metabolic energy of feed, lower feed cost and improve feed quality.
(4) Generate a large amount of xylo-oligosaccharides, improve the intestinal microflora, and benefit animal health.
