Ampicillin for injection, USP is white to off-white crystalline powder. The solution after constitution is clear and colorless. Each Pharmacy Bulk Package bottle contains ampicillin sodium equivalent to 10 grams of ampicillin. The sodium content is 658.3 mg (28.6 mEq) per 10 grams of ampicillin.
