Curcumin is extracted from Curcuma Longa rhizome, with dark yellow surface, shriveling texture and dark orange fracture area. It is widely used in India and China as one of anti-inflammatory remedies, and also used as spice, therapeutic drug and textile dyestuff.
India and other regions at approximately the same latitude like Burma, Guangxi (China), Yunnan (China), northern Vietnam etc, are the main origins for Curcumin longa due to the special latitude, climate and soil.

(Besides, there are more than twenties of volatile ingredients in turmeric, the total content varied from 4.2% to 14%. The contents of Turmerone, curcumene, xt-curcunlene are higher than the contents of other ingredients.)
