Albendazole is a benzimidazole carbamate with anthelmintic and antiprotozoal activity against the intestinal and tissue worm infections.
Albendazole is an anthelmintic or anti-worm medication. It prevents newly hatched insect larvae (worms) from growing or multiplying in your body.
Albendazole is used to treat certain infections caused by worms such as pork tapeworm and dog tapeworm.
Albendazole is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, or arthritis. It is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu.
Albendazole tablet contain the active ingredient Albendazole and is used for the treatment of common worm infections of the gut, such as the following conditions caused by sensitive intestinal helminths/protozoa:

Indication:
Albendazole tablet is is indicated in the treatment of single or mixed intestinal parasites including Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm/threadworm), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworm), Taenia spp. (tapeworm) and Strongyloides stercoralis. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of Giardia (duodenalis or intestinalis or lamblia) infections in children.
Directions
1 | Adults and children over 2 years of age 400 mg as a single dose. |
2 | Children 1-2 years of age 200 mg as a single dose. |
3 | This tablet should not to be used in children aged under 1 year. |
