Calcium + Vitamin D Tablets can be used as a dietary supplement for dogs and cats, during times of rapid growth, pregnancy and lactation when, as evidence suggests, absorption is reduced by corticosteroids.
Calcium + Vitamin D Tablets are also useful when meat diets, with a low calcium and high phosphorus ratio are fed or when high grain diets (also low in calcium and high in phosphorus) are fed.
Calcium + Vitamin D Tablets contain easily digested calcium powder and uses the correct amount of Vitamin D3 to assist with absorption of calcium.
COMPOSITION: Calcium Carbonate 600mg, Vitamin D3 200IU.

It is a mineral element required in macro quantities for normal bone and teeth development, regulation of membrane permeability and the normal functioning of all cells, neuromuscular excitability, blood clotting and milk coagulation and other functions such as maintenance of the acid-base equilibrium. There is a very large store of calcium (99% of body calcium) and phosphorus (80% of body
Phosphorus) in the bones which fluctuates under the influence of a regulatory mechanism. This is dependent on calcium ingested, calcium excreted, the parathyroid hormone and the presence of vitamin D3.
